This week our sister Amanda Littlejohn has been here for 2 months and she also celebrated her 40th birthday with us! Amanda knows that God was pursuing her for her whole life, but as a child the enemy really had it out for her. Perversion entered her life at a very young age and by the age of 12 she had started using pills to cope with the pain. From there her addiction quickly progressed into other drugs and became an every day obsession. Anything that she could get her hands on to numb the mental, physical and emotional pain was what she went after. Amanda says she has always struggled with her weight and her self-image - even to the point of using drugs to help her lose weight - which became her biggest struggle. She always felt different and like she didn’t belong anywhere - so she searched in all the wrong places looking for someone to just love her. Little did she know that there was a whole family just waiting on her at God’s House of Hope! Today Amanda knows that God has set her apart to be used by Him for good works and she is looking forward to a future with Him!
