Position Type - Full Time Benefited
Education Level - High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), Associates Degree in Medical Staff Services Management required, and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
Salary Range - $64,847.42- $84,088.66 per year
Clinic Manager:
The Clinic Manager is responsible for managing staff and the day-to-day operations of the front and back office of the Clinic to meet the needs of providers and patients.
Salary Placements are based upon a variety of factors including experience, education, and licensure.
Position Summary:
With a Quality, Customer First, and Compassionate approach, The Clinic Manager will:
• Team Based Care – Clinical Care Collaboration – work in collaboration and continuous partnership with providers, clinical staff, and community resources in a team approach to promote access to appropriate care in the goal of enhancing patient health.
• Provide backup assistance to clinical support staff.
• Ensure departmental goals are met including referrals, lab manifest, outstanding order report, VFC/IZ’s, Specialty clinic, MA check off sheet completed.
• Respond to and document patient clinical concerns as appropriate, following CQI concern tracking protocol.
• Perform case management review as assigned.
• Report facility issues such as cleaning and maintenance to the proper administrator.
• Work closely with the Medical Director and administration to ensure efficient and consistent compliance with clinical and operational policies and procedures.
• Pre-Visit Team Based Planning – Makes the day of visit report available to each care team; Documented instructions are written on the schedule, typed into the EHR appointment note, or in the EHR as a flag or clinical list update; Ensure patient visits are more efficient by identifying records from transitions of care are available during the patient visit, results from labs or diagnostic are in the EHR, labs or other services that are not specified in the standing orders protocols.
• Monitor the utilization report for accountability and access.
• Ensure effective scheduling to optimize resources and meet patient demand to the best of our ability.
• Ensure patient needs are being appropriately addressed through scheduling and triage.
• Participate in collaborative projects as designated by CCO and COO.
• Participate in planning of CQI measurements.
• Responsible for recruiting and hiring employees. Maintain staff levels per FTE guidelines.
• Ensure timely and objective evaluations of direct reports, provide counseling, perform disciplinary actions and terminations, plan/ensure new hire training and staff development and, forward appropriate and complete documentation to HR in a timely manner.
• Assist in development and completion of new hire training and skills. Review training of current employees.
• Motivate staff to achieve organizational/departmental goals. Provide regular recognition for achievements.
• Ensure operations budget is within department/site budgets.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Associate degree in Medical Staff Services Management preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• 2-4 years related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Community Health Care experience preferred.
