Meet Jeremy (inside of the office, and outside--In "the wild")!
We all have our life challenges and we all go through things that may not make sense. Sometimes you may feel alone, or unsupported. I’ve been there, and it sucks. I believe that everyone should be able to live their life doing whatever makes them happy. I believe that everyone should have support through their highs and lows. I believe that everyone should be able to receive the best care possible. But Jeremy, what can you do to help me? Great question. I am a person centered therapist. I believe that what you have going on is real, important, and deserves every bit of attention. I believe that everyone's experiences are unique to them and they should not be dismissed. My style of counseling is straight forward, challenging, and focused on YOU! I am compassionate and direct. I want everyone that comes to see me to leave with the knowledge to help them through life’s highs and lows. I want people to FEEL that they have gotten something useful out
of our sessions. Life is hard enough without feeling that you just confessed your life and the counselor is staring back at you with a straight face and nothing to say. Not here, if something doesn’t make sense, I’ll ask. If there is another way of looking at something, I’ll tell you. If youare on your BS, I’ll challenge you on it (respectfully of course). I want YOU to be the best version of YOU. And I can help.
But Jeremy, what do you do outside of work? Excellent question, keep 'em coming. Outside of work, I am a fiance to an amazing woman. I am a dog dad to 2 of the cutest pups ever. I am a full
time college student at Marshall University working on my Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling (two semesters to go!). I love to watch football, lacrosse, softball, and esports.
Esports? Really? Kinda lame if you ask me! Woah now, don’t knock it until you try it. I played college esports for the University of South Carolina for 2 years. Am I good? Eh, I can hold my
own. Better than anyone else you can think of? Nope. But I had fun nonetheless. I also enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. I run a campaign for them every Sunday. We are currently playing Curse of Strahd iykyk. I enjoy painting minis, reading fantasy novels (not the ones with fairies, looking at you ACOTAR!), and spending time going to local thrift and craft shows with my love, and trying new food.
Staying grounded in what you love and doing what you enjoy can help you live a fulfilled life. Being present can allow for life to slow down and be more enjoyable. Talking to someone can
help relieve the pressures that life puts on you. Being uncomfortable allows for growth. If you would like to talk to me about what's going on, feel free to reach out!
