Our residents showed their creative sides by making homemade cards 🎴 to share with residents in local nursing homes. It is such a lovely and thoughtful way to let folks know they are being thought of💜.

Our sweet friends Gwinn and Cliffy Ware paid us a visit! Mr. Gwinn is 90 years young and can play that piano 🎹 like nobody’s business! Video of him playing will be in a separate post. We are so thankful for their visit and hope they will be back soon! 💜

Getting physical exercise 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♂️ is an important part of our day so we look for fun, creative ways to incorporate it into our daily routine. From beach ball toss 🏐 to rocking and rolling 🎶 to the beat of a drum 🥁, these are some fun, low- impact ways to stay fit.

Sisters from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Eta Zeta Theta Chapter 💙 stopped by on Saturday to play a few games of BINGO with us. Not only did they bring goody bags 🍪🍫for everyone, but they also brought the fun🥳 We are so thankful 🙏 for this wonderful group of ladies, and we look forward to their next visit 🌟

Our friends Sharon and Macy with Bristol Hospice provided an in -service training for our staff today on Empathy. Boy was it impactful! Sometimes we forget, or maybe take for granted, what truly happens when someone is given a life altering diagnosis- the emotions that are experienced, what is given up. This exercise brings all that back into perspective. Thank you, ladies, for doing this for us today💜

Today was packed full of fun! First, we soaked up a little Vitamin D ☀️ in our beautiful courtyard, then we travelled to Italy 🇮🇹 where we learned a little about the Italian culture, we then enjoyed some social time while sipping on refreshing beverages🍹. Later, our friends Fred and Dan stopped by for a little gospel singing🎵 and then we ended the day with a competitive game of BINGO with our friend Lovey with Crescent Hospice.

From left to right- Martin Hardy, Executive Chef, Michael Wimberly, Chef, Chris Owens, Chef, and Oriol Derose, Dietary Aide/Cook. 🔥 These guys are absolutely amazing- there is never a dull moment😆 with them but it is so evident that they truly love what they do♥️

They have a passion for food, a desire to make sure our residents have the best culinary experience with every meal, and they season each dish🍽️ they create with lots of love 💕
