The Counselor Is In

The Counselor Is In This is the place for ideas, thoughts, inspiration, and humor. What I love most about my job is that I get to offer a beacon of hope.

Shame resiliency is a favorite of ours, so when life hands you lemons, let's make a list of awesome stuff to do with 'em! My job and overall goal is to find the hope in what sometimes seems like a hopeless situation. Even if it's just a sliver, hope can restore what we have lost. Life marches on no matter what we go through and through team work and positive affirmation, I can help you find your strength. I specialize in working with clients who have trouble with depression and anxiety and those who have suffered traumas (either recent or otherwise) and who may experience symptoms of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to help clients find their way out of the darkness. I am also trained to work with couples and families through life's tough moments. I work well with crisis management and couples wishing to either strengthen their marriage or divorce with dignity. Co-parenting is a skill that is crucial to having healthy minded children after a life altering event. I can offer individual or group settings to provide certification through Active Parenting classes. If you are ready for a change in your life - whether it be recovering from grief or adjusting to a new environment - therapy can help with the negative thoughts that feel so self defeating sometimes. I am a positive, strength-based therapist and my approach to counseling is genuine and sincere. I receive great feedback on my therapeutic style and I strive to remain as judgment free as possible. Life is tough - let me help you find your strength.

Ah, my compassionate and empathic friends. We’ve got to figure out how to be emotionally attuned *without* becoming emotionally entangled.

We must learn how to be emotionally responsive *without* becoming emotionally responsible.

We’ve gotta discover how to enjoy emotional connections *without* becoming emotionally disconnected from ourselves in the process.

And, you know what?

We CAN. 🥰

Healthy emotional boundaries are 100% possible for us.

That’s a big part of what becoming boundaried is all about.

❤️
