We have definitely had an amazing time here in the CSRA!

Before becoming a LMT, I worked in Finance. I was experiencing burnout and depression (which greatly affected my work).

I prayed that I would be able to find
✔something that I liked doing...
✔something I could do with my hands...
✔something that I would have a passion for...
and
✔something that I could take with me,
wherever I go❣

bliss & co. has been on a journey since 2021. We are continuously moving forward❣

We are all on a journey and I am no different.

As many of you know, my time here is coming to a close⌛

Yawl know it takes me a minute to get out of my comfort zone, and then once out...it takes me a minute from thought to product (neuro spicy brain activity🤯)...but we're here now😘

Yawl know my daily wardrobe... a good tshirt and some leggins or some jeans...

I've worn everyone's tshirt...from family reunion shirts to friend's businesses, to friends birthdays...and every Pride shirt since "got pride?" (Still have to get this years😐) and all my Black love and pride shirts....

I needed a uniform. Because I love a casual lifestyle I still needed to be somewhat professional. I love a worn tshirt with a needed message... so here's my personsl message🖤 If you've ever laid on my table... then you know when you hear me say this ( )🙃

Story time....(ok...maybe a short story🤔)

In Feb 2021, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital. I was sick with fever, chills, and no ability to keep food or liquid down. I slept in 2hr increments. I was given anti nausea meds, but nothing helped. They sent me home to ride out my storm❣

The next day my life changed in an instant. I received a phone call shortly after having a restless night, following being nauseous. The young lady identified herself as being Laura with Public Health. I held my breath for as much as I could, waiting for her to say something. Her next words "...you've tested postive for Covid..." were heard and felt, but I was having a hard time processing❣

Ms. Laura did what she was required of her. She made sure to check if everyone in the house had been tested or will get tested. She gave me my rules for quarantining. It was standard procedure❣

What she did next, solidified her in my heartspace as a guardian angel...more specifically MY GUARDIAN ANGEL❣

Ms Laura held space for me....that simple. I think that I went thru all the 12 stages of grief on the phone with her. I screamed, cried, denied and wanted to hang up. Her voice calmed me down enough so that I could HEAR what she was saying❣

As we began to wrap up the call, I wiped my tears and told her thank you. I asked her how she was doing during this time. I couldn't imagine what it was like for her and her colleagues. Needless to say, she was stressed. I promised her after getting well AND vaccinated that I would "hold space" for her. I cannot repay you for the peace that you gifted me during that chaotic and uncertain time❣

Thank you for coming to see me and I hope that you and your colleagues are able to get some self care in for yourselves. Looking forward to our next massage therapy session❣

Thank you to all of our healthcare workers who are working around the clock. Please remember to take time for yourself so that you are able to recharge❣
