Dr. Edward Boland received his undergraduate degree at the United States Military Academy and served as a Field Artillery Officer and paratrooper until attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed a residency in Family Practice in 1996 followed by a Masters of Public Health Degree and Preventive Medicine Residency. He is an active member of the American C

ollege of Lifestyle Medicine and has special interest in the management of chronic medical problems (diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol) though weight loss, exercise and smoking cessation. Dr. Boland is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.

Our Story

I am very excited to be joining the Direct Primary Care (DPC) revolution to save patients and employers money and time, while improving the quality of care. Dr. Rob Lamberts (green shirt) opened the first DPC clinic in Augusta in 2013. He has been a gracious mentor to me and to Davis and Rachel Mellick (above), who are also opening a DPC clinic on January 2, 2019. Their clinic is located near Tako Sushi in Evans, GA.
