In honor of Speech-Language-Hearing Month, we’re excited to introduce some of the amazing SLPs who help make Ducktails so special! 💬

Today, we’re featuring Clay, our Director of Clinical Operations! We’re so thankful for his leadership, dedication, and passion for helping children and families thrive through communication and connection 💛

Clay, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech therapist and Clinical Director of Operations at Ducktails Pediatric Therapy and Wellness. He works with children across a wide range of diagnoses and developmental needs. With 20 years of pediatric experience, Clay brings his passion for early childhood intervention to every session. In his free time, Clay enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Occupational Therapy is about so much more than tabletop activities! 💪🎉

Gross motor play helps build the strong foundation needed for success with fine motor skills. These activities target upper body strength, bilateral coordination, motor planning, sequencing, and range of motion—all while providing important proprioceptive input to help kids better understand and control their bodies.

Strong, stable shoulders and arms are essential for tasks like handwriting, cutting, dressing, and other everyday activities. Our OTs love making these foundational skills fun through movement and play! 💛
