Great policework!

On 7/10/2025 we took a report of a burglary of vehicle on Grand Blvd. During this burglary we learned there was property taken and that we had video of the crime. We later posted this video to help us assist in identifying the suspect.

On 08/19/2025 at 0601 hours we received a call of a burglary in progress at the Consignments and More located at 3514 Lafayette. Upon our arrival we observed forced entry through a window that was broken, it was reported that there was property missing from the business. We observed attempted entry into the neighboring cabinet business.

On 08/22/2025 around midnight a search warrant was executed at 167 Brovan Blvd.

On 08/22/2025 around 0131 hours Christopher Michael Wehr has been arrested for both of these incidents.

His charges are as follows:
Burglary 3rd (Aggravated)
Burglary 3rd (Felony)
Possession of drug paraphernalia (Simple)
Possession of Ma*****na (Serious)

This is an ongoing investigation and as if goes forward there may be more charges.

Subjects charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

We want to thank the public that came forward with information.

We have had a recent rash of car burglaries. At this time we do not believe they are related to the actions of Christopher Wehr.

Please lock your doors and stay vigilant. Call us if you see people out milling around at early morning hours. Call us even if they did not take something, if you do not call us then we do not know that it happened and where.
