I strive to be inclusive to all races, ethnicities, cultures, religious/spiritual believe systems, sexual orientation and genders/identities. I've been working with children, adults and couples for several years and through my experience I've developed beliefs about healthy development. 1.) Our experiences shape who we are and everyone deserves to be treated with patience, respect and dignity. We need a safe environment to open up and develop self-compassion. 2.) We need support and cannot work through our problems alone. Our psychological problems effect our relationships and we need support to heal. 3.) It takes intention to change patterns of thinking and behaving. Our emotions will change with healthy thoughts and actions. I’ve been working as a clinician for over a decade in various capacities; crisis, therapeutic schools, residential facilities for dual diagnoses and private group practices. I primarily support people who manage conditions such as; ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, BPD, PTSD/trauma experiences, gambling and substance use/addiction disorders. I have equal experience with children, adolescents and adults. I also see couples working on identifying emotional needs, communication/intimacy challenges, conflict resolution and differing relationship expectations. I have 5 years experience providing clinical supervision and consultation with fellow clinicians. I believe people should guide their own life and feel empowered to process and work through their struggles with the support of another. Psychotherapy is a collaborative process, about creating something together, and my role is to provide strategies and tools for coping with life's our experience of life's challenges. I strive to support clients towards their efforts to gain insight, self-acceptance and compassion.
