🍂 It’s been a while since I introduced myself! In the spirit of fall and fresh starts, here’s a little bit about me:

1️⃣ Favorite song: Anything by my lifelong idol Kate Bush
2️⃣ Favorite thing to treat in the clinic: Something 'easy' like pain or long term fertility and prenatal care. I love helping people make babies!
3️⃣ Favorite word that inspires me: Steadfastness
4️⃣ Favorite comfort food: This season, homemade soup! In the summer, sushi from Sea Ranch.
5️⃣ Favorite person: So many people have inspired me this year, like Naledi Pandor,Bisan, Rabbi Brant Rosen and Noura Erakat.
6️⃣ Favorite thing about fall: colors and crispness, and cooking root vegetables in the kitchen. Yum!
7️⃣ Favorite way to be cozy: Lately I have felt the urge to read more fiction. Current books I'm reading are by Susan Abulhawa and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Ma*****na Is Not the Solution for PTSD

"There have been an increasing number of studies demonstrating that the use of ma*****na can worsen PTSD over time. An observational studyopens in a new tab or window assessed 2,276 veterans treated in VA PTSD treatment programs at the time of intake and then again 4 months after discharge. They found that those who had been using ma*****na prior to the program but stopped had the lowest level of PTSD symptoms 4 months post-discharge, and second lowest were those who never used ma*****na. Those who started using ma*****na again after the treatment program had the highest levels of violent behavior, alcohol use, and PTSD symptoms."
