**Ayurveda Pulse Diagnosis Experience Course for Self-Healing**
**Begins March 26 (Online) or April 4 (In-Person in Evanston)**
Discover a simple yet profound technique to calm your nervous system in just minutes. Ayurvedic pulse awareness gently brings you back to the present moment—grounded, relaxed, and connected.
This effortless practice can be done anywhere: waiting for a bus, sitting at a red light, or standing in line. Within moments, it creates an immediate shift—connecting mind, body, and emotions at their source.
I was first introduced to *Nadi Vigyan* (the science of pulse) in 1991 in Holland while studying with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. That experience opened the door to a profound understanding of how awareness, when placed on the pulse, can support deep self-healing. (You can read more about that experience on my blog.)
I fell in love with the depth of information available through the pulse and the way our own attention—clear, settled, and effortless—can positively influence our health. Over time, and through continued study with master Ayurvedic teachers, this practice became an essential part of my work.
As a licensed trauma therapist, I have seen how powerful this technique can be. For clients experiencing rumination, anxiety, or panic, pulse awareness offers something talk therapy alone often cannot: a direct, grounding, physical experience that reconnects awareness with the body. Even a few minutes can help regulate the nervous system and restore a sense of calm.
It also becomes a practical tool for daily living—helping you sense what is supportive or disruptive in relation to food, behavior, relationships, and environment. In this way, it becomes a pathway to truly knowing yourself.
**About the Course**
This course is designed for self-healing and personal balance. You will learn how to take your own pulse and begin to recognize subtle shifts in your physiology and the elements within the body.
The more you practice, the more refined your awareness becomes. Many parents are especially drawn to this work as a preventative and supportive tool for family health.
This is not a practitioner training to read others’ pulses. Rather, it is a deeply experiential journey into your own mind-body system. With time and practice, you may naturally expand into sharing this skill with close family and friends.
