At the end of October I took a continuing education class for lymphatic drainage and scar tissue release. In the coming weeks I will start to offer this service! Thankful for all my clients who continue to support me in supporting you! 🫶🏼
What is lymphatic drainage massage and why is it helpful? Lymphatic drainage massage is a light, rhythmic massage technique that encourages the flow of lymph fluid in the body. Our lymphatic system works alongside our circulatory system to support immune health, help maintain fluid balance, and remove waste. Because the lymphatic system does not have its own central pump, it relies on muscle contraction and movement to flow through our body. That is where manual lymphatic drainage can be helpful by stimulating the flow to circulate effectively.
If you have swelling from surgery, lymphedema, an injury, or a sedentary lifestyle, lymphatic drainage massage can be a great option to help reduce swelling, promote faster recovery, and support immune system function. But you do not need to have the conditions listed above to benefit from lymphatic drainage, it can be a great addition to any wellness routine! If this sounds like a service meant for you, please keep an eye out for future service announcements and send me a message with any questions!
