Stepping into the spotlight this time around is our wonderful dietary manager, Janine! Janine works long and hard to make sure our neighbors are completely happy and satisfied during meal times. Janine plays an essential role in making sure our neighbors are getting nutritious and delicious meals while making sure everything is running smoothly behind the scenes.
Janine first learned how to cook from her mother and grandmother. She became passionate and decided to carry on the love that she has for cooking. At 17, she started as a cook in a personal care home. Since then, Janine has worked in many different parts of the food industry, including restaurants. Before coming to Oasis, Janine worked at another facility for 18 years. Janine has been with us for a year and a half now.
Outside of work, Janine is very family-oriented. She has three children, with the youngest being in college, and many grandchildren whom she loves spending her time with. Along with her fur children. All around, she loves spending time with her family. She also loves to garden and be out in nature when she can. She loves being outside, around water, and at the beach. A fun fact about Janine is that even when she is at home, she loves to cook and bake for everyone around her; it does not stop after she clocks out at Oasis.
Janine's favorite aspect of her job is seeing the smiles on the neighbors' faces as they enjoy their meals, knowing they are pleased with what they are eating. She also loves to help and mentor her staff; she wants to see them succeed and accomplish anything they put their minds to. She calls them her work family, and she cares for them just as she does her own family.
Janine, we are so thrilled to have you as part of our team. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. We could not do it without you!
