🌷🐰 Hop on over — it’s almost time for Riverbend’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt! 🐰🌷

We’re so excited to welcome our community on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 AM at Riverbend Nursing & Rehab 3400 Stocker Dr for a morning full of colorful eggs, sweet treats, and springtime smiles! 💛🥚

This event is all about bringing families, friends, and neighbors together — and we’d love your help to make it extra special!

We’re currently collecting:
✨ Plastic eggs
🍬 Individually wrapped candy
🎁 Prizes for each age group:
• Ages 0–4
• Ages 5–9
• Ages 10–13+

Prizes can be small toys, activity kits, baskets — anything fun and age-appropriate to make our young egg hunters feel like winners! 🏆

📅 Donations are welcome through Thursday, March 26th.

Every egg stuffed and every prize donated helps create joyful memories for the children in our community. Thank you for showing up and showing love the way Riverbend always does! 💐

Please help us in congratulating our Mach employee of the month…… Jeff Wright!!🎉 Jeff is our Maintenance Assistant and hasn’t been with us long but in that short time, has made a huge impact. Exciting progress at River Bend!🤩

Renovations are currently underway as we continue investing in our facility and the environment we provide for our residents, families, and staff. It’s exciting to see the transformation begin, and we’re looking forward to sharing updates as the project moves forward.

🍊 Orange you glad it’s Friday?! 🍊

Today our staff got a sweet surprise with a fun appreciation cart! Packed with orange soda, tasty treats, and lots of bright goodies, it was a small way to say a BIG thank you to the amazing team who bring kindness, compassion, and hard work to our residents every single day.

We’re so grateful for our staff and all the joy they bring to our community — and we hope this little burst of orange sunshine helped kick off the weekend with a smile! 🧡

🧡March is Social Work Month!🧡

At River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation, we are proud to celebrate the heart behind so much of what we do — our Social Services Department.

This year’s theme, “Uplift. Defend. Transform.” reflects the impact social workers make every day in long-term care — advocating for resident rights, guiding families through transitions, and supporting emotional well-being with compassion and strength.

We are especially grateful for our Social Service Director, Cassie Collins, whose dedication and steady leadership make a difference in the lives of our residents and families daily.

⭐️Time for a update! We’ve been busy having fun and getting stronger⭐️

The last couple of months in our rehab department have been full — and intentional.💪🏼

☃️When the snow hit, we brought the energy indoors with a snowball challenge that focused on balance, coordination, weight shifting, and upper-body strength.

🏈During football season, football target challenges turned functional reaching, core activation, endurance, and motor planning into something motivating and competitive.

🕺🏻For Elvis’ birthday, peanut butter and banana sandwiches(Elvis’ favorite)and oversized sideburn sunglasses coupled with Elvis trivia created the perfect setting for fine motor work, sequencing, cognitive engagement, and meaningful social interaction.

🥇Our Winter Olympics group included torch-making followed by Nerf and frisbee competitions — targeting hand-eye coordination, standing tolerance, reaction time, and dynamic balance.

🦺We practiced safe fall recovery skills on the mat, because rebuilding confidence after a fall is just as important as rebuilding strength.
🏠 We celebrated a rehab-to-home success on our Helping Hands wall, because getting our residents back to where they want — and need — to be is always the goal.
👩🏻‍🏫We welcomed a SIGTIC student to observe how skilled rehab blends clinical expertise with real human connection.

⭐️Don’t be fooled by all the fun, we aren’t activities!

⭐️ Every group, every intervention, every moment of engagement is built around a clinical purpose.

⭐️There is no cookie-cutter treatment plan here.

⭐️Not everyone receives the same mix of group and individual treatment. Every resident’s plan of care is based on their diagnosis, goals, safety needs, and progress.

⭐️Therapy isn’t a preset number of reps or a timer on a bike. It’s individualized, it’s skilled, it’s patient centered care.

👏🏼That’s how meaningful progress happens!👏🏼

💖 LOVE was definitely in the air at River Bend this past week! 💖

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with not one, but TWO sweet parties!

Our staff enjoyed a chocolate fondue bar loaded with strawberries, cookies, sweet treats, and all the goodies 🍓🍫 (because our team deserves to feel the love too!)

Then our residents had their own Valentine’s celebration complete with treats, balloons, flowers, and the crowning of our Valentine’s King 👑 and Queen 👑❤️

We are so grateful for the love that fills these halls every day. 💌
