Today our owner and co-founder, Ryan Wood PT, DPT, MHA, received the Florence Kendall Service Award at his alma mater, Saint Louis University!

This award recognizes a physical therapist who has performed outstanding service (in clinical practice, education, research, professional association, and/or health care advocacy) to the healthcare community in the spirit of Florence P. Kendall; a lifelong role model, exhibiting intellectual curiosity, persisting in the pursuit of excellence, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge, being dedicated to the profession, as well as demonstrating a commitment to service to others outside of the physical therapy profession.

Saint Louis University, what a special place. A place where Jesuit values are instilled… where you not only learn how to be a therapist but also learn St.Ignatius’ teachings, the power of service for the greater good.

We had a packed house, countless laughs, and we hit our fundraising goal of $100,000! All we can say is humbled!!! Our nonprofit annual fundraising event, Night on the Terrace, is this Saturday! So far, we have had 38 community and individual partners and have raised nearly $80,000 to support our Sliding Fee Scale programs for individuals who are uninsured and underinsured!! We are very close to our goal and are so grateful for all that have supported us so far! We will be taking time to highlight our partners during the event as well as here on social following the event! THANK YOU!!!

✊😍It was an absolute pleasure and honor to be invited to speak to freshmen in the Academy of Science and Medical Professionals program at Central High School. Our very own Dr. Briley Serletic shared insights on the path to becoming a physical therapist, including my undergraduate experience at the University of Southern Indiana and my graduate studies at the University of Evansville. She also discussed her current orthopedic residency through Arcadia University. She introduced the students to Forefront Therapy, describing the populations and diagnoses we treat and sharing why she loves her job! To make the session interactive, they played trivia, explored some fun physical therapy tools, tried a few challenges, and even performed a quick hypermobility screen to see if anyone was hypermobile! We love being a part of the TriState community!! 💪🙋

"The absolute best physical therapy in the Evansville area! Before my knee replacement, I called to ask some questions as I was new to the area and wanted one on one PT, not a large ‘meat grinder’ group therapy setup. Justin invited me to stop by for a tour and when I arrived I was warmly welcomed by everyone. I instantly knew this was the right place for my physical therapy. The therapists are personable, friendly, and compassionate while working with you to achieve recovery. I am very appreciative for how well they worked with me on my good days and bad days, helping me push myself to an excellent recovery from knee replacement surgery. I was able to return to work much sooner than my doctor expected thanks to the work of Forefront Therapy. We had a blast in Boston! Our OTs & SLPs attended Module 3 of our 6-part CLASI Course to earn the official specialty certification in Ayres Sensory Integration! Thank you to Dr. Zoe Mailloux and clasi_casi for a wonderful learning experience! 🧠

🤩We started this year long certification in January and have enjoyed growing together and learning from each other!

Both Ryan and Hannah were my therapists, and they took excellent care of my situation and also made me feel valued and they really listened to my concerns.
