How does Radiofrequency ablation help relieve pain? If you suffer from chronic pain, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) may offer a minimally invasive solution. Radiofrequency ablation is a procedure that uses targeted radiofrequency energy to disrupt pain signals from damaged nerves and tissues to the brain. This treatment can provide effective long-term or permanent relief for many types of pain, including back, neck, and joint pain. During the procedure, a needle is inserted near the targeted nerves or tissue. Radiofrequency energy is then delivered through the needle, heating the area and disrupting nerve function. This interruption in pain signaling can reduce or eliminate pain. If you have a pain condition that has not responded well to more conservative treatments, find out if radiofrequency ablation could help you achieve the pain relief you need. Are you a candidate for Trigger Point Injections? Trigger point injections may provide relief for patients experiencing myofascial pain in the neck, shoulders, arms, legs, or back. Trigger points are hypersensitive knots that can develop within muscles. When present, they can cause localized or referred pain. During a trigger point injection, a medication is administered directly into the trigger point using a small needle. This works to temporarily deactivate the trigger point. If you have been experiencing deep muscle pain that will not resolve through rest, medication, or physical therapy, trigger point injections may be a worthwhile option to explore. Schedule a consultation with Pain Management Centers of America to determine if you are a good candidate for this minimally invasive pain relief procedure. Addressing and deactivating trigger points can help improve mobility and quality of life. https://pmcoa.us/

What is Degenerative disc disease? DDD is the wearing down of spinal discs, which are rubbery cushions located between the bones in your spinal column. These discs act as shock absorbers and facilitate comfortable movement, bending, and twisting. It is a natural part of aging for everyone's spinal discs to degenerate over time. The primary symptoms of degenerative disc disease are neck pain and back pain. The pain may come and go, lasting for weeks or months at a time, and it can cause numbness or tingling in the arms or legs. Additionally, the pain may radiate down the lower back and buttocks and worsen with sitting, bending, or lifting. DDD is caused by the natural aging process, which leads to the wearing down of spinal discs. As people age, the soft core of the discs, which is primarily composed of water, gradually loses water content. Consequently, the discs become thinner and offer less shock absorption than before. Minor injuries can also result in small cracks in the spinal discs, often near nerves. These tears can be painful, even if they are minor. The pain associated with DDD can occur in the neck or lower back and may extend into the arms, hands, buttocks, and legs. If you suffer from spinal stenosis, it means that the bony canals - or the passageways - through which your nerves and spinal cord travel have become narrowed. This can be caused by arthritis, which causes the facet joints and ligaments to become enlarged and thicker. This in turn restricts the space for the nerves, leading to inflammation and resulting in symptoms like pain, numbness or weakness. This condition is most often acquired due to age-related degeneration of the spine or traumatic injury to the spine. Spinal Cord Stimulation Therapy is a Proven Approach for Managing Chronic Pain. Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) therapy has established itself as a safe and effective treatment option for various chronic pain conditions. By implanting a small medical device similar in size to a pacemaker just under the skin, SCS therapy is able to modulate pain signals traveling to the brain from sites of injury, accident, or trauma. Through the delivery of mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord, SCS has been shown to meaningfully reduce chronic pain experienced by patients. If you have been battling chronic pain for an extended duration and are seeking an evidence-based treatment alternative, contact us today to determine if SCS therapy may provide relief. We can evaluate whether this minimally invasive pain management approach could help you regain an improved quality of life. https://pmcoa.us/

Are you experiencing neck, shoulder, or arm pain due to a pinched nerve in your cervical or lumbar spine? Common causes include herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or radiculopathy. An epidural steroid injection may provide relief. During this procedure, an anti-inflammatory medication is administered into the epidural space surrounding the spinal nerves. This works to decrease pressure and swelling, which may be exacerbating pain. Epidural steroid injections have been shown to successfully reduce inflammation and associated pain. If you have been suffering from chronic back, neck, or leg pain, an epidural steroid injection could help. To determine if you may benefit from this treatment option, please contact Pain Management Centers of America to schedule a consultation. We are happy to evaluate your condition and discuss whether epidural injections may help provide relief for your spinal pain. https://pmcoa.us/

Facet joints are small joints located at each segment of the spine that provide stability and assist in guiding movement. Facet joint pain can result from wear and tear over time, the natural aging process, injury, or misuse. You may qualify for facet joint injections to diminish inflammation and pain in the target region. During this procedure, an anesthetic and corticosteroid are administered into the joint to validate whether it is the source of your discomfort. Find out if you're a candidate for facet joint injections and talk to a specialist at Pain Management Centers of America for an evaluation! https://pmcoa.us/
