Indiana SANE Training Project

And just like that the multi city speaking tour is over. Sounds funny to say it like that. Never been to Indiana and it was my honor to speak before a collection of SANE nurses, advocates, ER nurses, law enforcement and prosecutors. Thank you for the invite, Indiana SANE Training Project. The personal highlight was hearing from and learning from Dr Rebecca Campbell…one of my heroes. So much good work being done.

Radiologic and Imaging Sciences faculty launched a new mentoring program for students—and the "bigs" and "littles" wrapped up the semester this week by celebrating together. 🎉

Students gathered for light snacks, music and a fun twist on test review with an interactive escape room–style game with prizes.

The radiology mentoring program pairs brand‑new students with peers who have completed their first year, giving newcomers a go‑to resource for questions about classes, exams, clinicals and what to expect in the program. At the same time, mentors gain valuable leadership experience by sharing their knowledge and supporting the next cohort. 💙

Dr. Schneider shared insights from his career in clinical informatics, data analytics and AI in healthcare—highlighting how data and technology can improve patient outcomes and clinician efficiency. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders!

Students from Food and Nutrition, Radiology, Occupational Therapy and Graduate Nursing represented the University of Southern Indiana at the 2026 CLARION National Interprofessional Case Competition, held last week at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. While our team did not place, the experience offered invaluable opportunities to meet students from across the country, tackle a complex real‑world healthcare case, and grow professionally. We’re proud of their commitment to interprofessional learning and the insights they gained through this national competition.
