At Silver Birch of Fort Wayne residents are proud to have a very dedicated Gardening Club! 🌶️🫛🍅

The members of this club plant flowers and vegetables of their choosing and ensure that they grow and thrive for all to enjoy. This year they have been challenged as it has been so hot, but nonetheless their plants are looking great!

Meet Jo Ellen Bleavins – President & CEO of Silver Birch 👋

With a heart for service and a passion for people, Jo Ellen Bleavins leads Silver Birch as President and CEO. Her journey began in high school, volunteering at a local nursing home—a spark that lit a lifelong commitment to senior care. Armed with a nursing degree and an MBA, Jo Ellen has spent her career shaping healthcare delivery through innovation, compassion, and advocacy.

Driven by the belief that everyone deserves dignity, safety, and quality care—regardless of income—Jo Ellen finds purpose in helping residents thrive and supporting the team members who serve them. Whether mentoring staff, analyzing data, or championing change in Medicaid and managed care, she brings unmatched energy and heart to everything she does.

Outside the office, Jo Ellen is a devoted wife and mom, loyal friend, dog lover, movie buff, and lifelong Cardinals fan. She loves good food, great music (even if she can’t carry a tune), and soaking up the sun. Above all, she’s someone who’s determined to leave the world better than she found it. 💙

Meet Amy Eubank, our dedicated Vice President for Operations! 👋

Amy's journey in senior care began in a small Illinois town, where she was raised by her grandparents. Initially pursuing nursing, she discovered her true calling in serving the senior community—a path she's passionately followed ever since.

Amy's career is marked by remarkable growth, from leading a single assisted living community at 25 to overseeing operations across multiple states. Her commitment to making quality care accessible to all seniors, regardless of income, aligns perfectly with Silver Birch's mission to inspire purposeful lives for all.

Beyond her professional achievements, Amy is a devoted Christian, loving wife, proud mother of two, and doting "Oma" to her grandkids. She cherishes family time, enjoys traveling, and dedicates her free time to mission work.
