Meet Melissa! 👋
Melissa is fairly new to the Holiday family- she serves as the Nurse Unit Director on our Horizon's Unit. Outside of work, she values spending time with her family and enjoys relaxing vacations at the beach. I asked her a variety of questions regarding her teamwork and support to her staff and here is what she said:
How do you support your nursing staff and promote teamwork?
"I support my staff by leading through example- no job is ever "not my job" and I approach both my team and my residents with empathy, integrity and a strong work ethic. I recognize my staff who go above and beyond with praise, small gifts or food, and I handle teachable moments privately.
How do you foster a welcoming environment for both residents and their families?
"I care for my residents and their families as I would my own family, offering compassion, understanding, and the best care possible. Let's give a warm welcome to our Nurse Unit Director, Melissa! We are so blessed to have her as a valuable part of our team! 💛
