Accepting New Patients! Meet Dr. Shaun Altneu, an internal medicine physician at Deaconess Clinic West. Internal medicine focuses on primary care for adults, typically ages 18 and older—providing comprehensive, long-term care.

Inspired from a young age by a compassionate pediatrician, Dr. Altneu brings that same kindness and dedication to every patient.

He believes the best care starts with listening, understanding your story, working together, and creating a personalized plan to help you feel your best.

Kidney disease has five stages, and stage 3 is the most common time to see a specialist. Deaconess nephrologist Dr. Nripesh Pradhan explains these stages and how early care can help slow progression.
