Continuum Care firmly believes in the power of pet therapy, today we had an incredible visit with our Equine Therapy. ”Streaker” the beautiful miniature pinto horse did some beautiful work with our patients today.

At Continuum Care Hospice we love our therapy animals! Here is a picture of Burklee, our Executive Directors Therapy Dog in Training. She is already on the job and can be found daily in our office.

Today we brought lunch to the Caring Hands Quilters of First Baptist Church in Arlington, who meet every Tuesday to sew quilts and blankets for people in need. These ladies have dontated over 25 “Fidget Blankets” to our memory care patients on hospice services. Each quilt is unique in design and has a variety of sensory objects sewn right into the fabric. Our clients are soothed and comforted when the blankets are placed on their laps. We want to say a heartfelt thank you to these beautiful ladies for their selfless dedication to providing extra support to our hospice clients!
