In light of the governor's new restrictions I felt it best to post, and update you all on our current mode of operations as some of you have reached out already. Intua-Touch Massage is not intending to shut down however we will still be inforcing our pandemic protocol to insure those seeking relief from pain and stress can receive the safest treatment during these times. Part of that is screening each client prior to scheduling and we ask that if you have traveled outside of your normal area or attended a gathering with more then 5 people outside of your normal social circle and good social distancing was not practiced that you not schedule an appointment until you have properly quarantined for 2 weeks. We will be starting to request that you seek out a RX for massage from a referring provider such as your doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist or any other health care provider allowed to write a RX for massage. This will allow the therapists at Intua-touch to continue to serve you even if there are further restrictions put into place. While we may not be on the front lines fighting rising covid-19 cases we want you to know that we are on the front lines helping to fight your rising stress levels.

We are now open! Over the past 3 months I have made many updates and changes to help navigate the quickly changing landscape of living life in the age of the covid19 pandemic. I am again taking appointments however in order to schedule you must first request an appointment you will then be scheduled a health interview after which you will be given a link to access the scheduling system. To request an appointment please message me on Facebook or leave a voicemail. People who ha e prepaid massages will be given priority scheduling. I look forward to serving you all again!

So today I had the opportunity to chat with my amazing coach over zoom. Often times during my sessions with her I word vomit all the things that have been happening with my business which is a lot these days. Today she was really able hone in on what it was I truly offer in my in person and virtual sessions. As we talked the key phrase of reset kept coming up. And this is truly the heart of what you receive from me during any session. The moment you walk into my office it's like you get to press pause on your stress and for the next hour or two I hunt out where that stress has landed in your body and work to reset your nervous system so when you leave my office you are in a state of relaxation. How I do this is by listening. Listening first to you tell me about your stress and your pain and how it affects your life and I listen to how you want to feel. Then I listen to your body through my hands, I hear where your stress has landed and what your body wants and needs to release and reset and I work with your body to bring about more of how you want to feel by doing embodiment work we call massage. But what you don't realize is that you can do this all yourself the key is learning to listen to your body and listen to yourself. Virtual sessions follow the exact same structure! As soon as you sign into your zoom meeting you are pressing pause on your stress. I listen to you tell me about your pain and stress and how it is affecting your life and then how you want that to change and how you want to feel. but next instead of me listening to your body with my hands I guide you on how to listen to your own body through guided self massage or other embodiment exercises. Instead of doing the work for you I empower you to be able to work with your body to release and reset So that you leave the virtual session just like you would leave a massage in a state of relaxation. I want to encourage you all to give it a try if nothing else but to give yourself that space to press the pause button on your stress.
