We all require a little extra love and care from time to time. August 6th serves as a poignant reminder for many to reflect on loved ones who are no longer with us. Today, our clients took a moment to write heartfelt messages on balloons as a tribute to those who have passed and a testament to the profound impact of a little extra love and TLC.

The Medford Center is pleased to announce that it has received the Tufts Community Grant. Our Medford Site focuses on providing specialized Dementia care and individualized 1:1 support. The Grant will enable us to continue providing high-quality care.

Happy 4th of July!!!
All three of our sites celebrated Independence Day with a star-spangled pride, joyful laughter, and unforgettable entertainment. Everyone came together to enjoy a bbq, festive spirit, and delicious treats.
A heartfelt thank you to , whose vibrant performance lit up each site with toe tapping music and nostalgic favorites that had everyone smiling, singing, and dancing along. Their energy and talent brought our celebrations to life! … just a spectacular reminder that joy comes from celebrating freedom, friendship, and fun together. ❤️ 🤍 💙

Gratitude is defined as "a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation for the good things in one's life, whether they are small or large."

Community Family is filled with so much gratitude towards Encore Boston Harbor and Wynn Resorts Community Relations for their unwavering support.

The past week has exemplified the value of mutual giving. Community Family is deeply grateful to be a recipient of the Wynn Resorts Foundation Community Grant Fund, with an award of $20,000 earmarked for caregiver retreats and support.

Community Family also had the privilege of participating in the Encore Feed the Funnel event, where staff and clients worked together to package 100,000 meals for those in need.

This experience highlighted the profound impact that can be achieved through collective efforts. Our sincerest appreciation is expressed to Encore Boston Harbor Resort and Casino and Wynn Resorts.

June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month, and today, June 21st, marks The Longest Day.

This occasion presents an opportune time to express gratitude to Mystic Valley Elder Services for visiting our Medford site. As an Alzheimer's/Dementia specialized facility, our Medford site provides the highest level of care. Staff from Mystic Valley Elder Services had the opportunity to experience our Magic Table while learning more about our facility.

In addition to our Medford site, our other two sites also work with participants and families affected by Alzheimer's/Dementia. Today, on The Longest Day, we acknowledge the tireless efforts of caregivers who selflessly provide love and care. We recognize your dedication and are committed to supporting you.

Mystic Valley Elder Services

MVES leadership visited The Community Family this week to explore the Tovertafel, Dutch for Magic Table, a tool developed for people with dementia or cognitive disability. MVES and TCF partnered on a grant that enabled purchasing the “Magic Table” for TCF’s site. Using sophisticated sensors and a projector, interactive games are projected onto the table. The games can be played individually or in groups and are shown to provide physical, cognitive, social, and sensory benefits. Thank you to Executive Office of Aging & Independence for the Caregiver Innovation Grant that made this possible, and to the table's creator, Tover!
