ASKING FOR A FRIEND
Did you ever wonder what “Auld Lang Syne” means? Well, we did, too, and so we looked it up. The title of the nostalgic song Guy Lombardo’s band popularized in the U.S. many decades ago is Scottish for “time gone by” or “old times”. Taken from a Scottish 1788 poem by Robert Burns, it is about the passage of time and singing it has become an iconic New Year’s Eve tradition worldwide.
