IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT:

Eat one meal a day, in a window of time of no more than 6 hours. 18:6 - fasting for 18 eating in 6 hour window, or less. Smaller window of time is better.
The point of this is lowering your insulin ‘set point.’ Insulin is bad. Insulin is not your friend when you are trying to lose weight, as the presence of insulin makes losing weight difficult for most, impossible for some.

The answers are;

1. Eat keto. Don’t add sugar to anything anymore. Some Keto options are fatty meats, coconut oil, getting fiber in vegetables, eating cheese. Some foods to avoid in keto are milk, pasta, bread, even whole wheat bread, sugar, fruit juice, fried potatoes and anything else that turns to sugar in your bloodstream.

2. Time restricted eating. People typically fast anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. Fasting for two days allows your body to repair itself in a process where healthy cells consume unhealthy cells.

3. One meal a day as a general rule. 18:6, a six hour window of eating, or down to 22:2, a two hour window.

4. Go off-plan on a schedule. For one meal, think “Saturday night pizza.” Then back on plan.

5. This becomes your lifestyle. This, is sustainable. You don't gain the weight back.

6. Your level of self discipline will be a direct reflection of your progress.

Typically there are mental health benefits from fasting, as neurotransmitters are created in the gut and levels of anxiety and depression are in part a response to diet. There are also significant genetic factors in mental health, but can be improved with fasting.
