Mariah and Ildi joined together in 2014 to create Birth Matters NW. Together we recognize that this journey from start to finish is a unique and intimate experience. The journey starts with pregnancy. From the time you discover you are pregnant, you make choices that balance your needs against the needs of someone else. As you navigate the early steps of that path you to find your voice as a paren

t. Because pregnancy leads inexorably towards birth which is when the real journey (and fun) of raising a child begins. We believe that these intense experiences are spaces between significant markers in personal growth. We believe that every family should be empowered with knowledge and care for the best possible experience. We are committed to a compassionate and nurturing relationship in order to explore the options available not only through childbirth, but beyond. With us your questions are answered, evidence based information and guidance provided so that this special time of transition can be treasured for the rest of your life. No matter if it is your first child or fourth, we are committed to supporting your family.
