Happy National Doctors Day 🤍

Behind every great patient experience is a physician who leads with both skill and heart—and a team that supports that mission every step of the way.

So grateful for the doctors we get to learn from, collaborate with, and laugh with daily. Your impact goes far beyond the exam room!

Did you know, certain cancers have stronger genetic predispositions than others? This means that based on your family history you may be at higher risk of developing cancer than the average population. At Park Primary Care we pride ourselves on keeping patients up to date on their routine recommended preventative testing, but sometimes this isn’t enough.

Based on your family history, you may qualify for this test to be covered 100% through your insurance. Typically this includes family history of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, and others. To find out if you are a candidate, or to learn more about your risk, please click the link below and take the MyGeneHistoy Survey!

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month đź’™

Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when caught early through screening. The good news? Screening can find precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer.

At Park Primary Care, we’re here to make prevention easy and approachable. If you’re 45 or older, it’s time to talk to your provider about colon cancer screening. Options include simple at-home stool tests or a colonoscopy depending on what’s best for you.

✨ Don’t wait for symptoms — early detection saves lives.

đź“… Schedule your screening or annual visit with our team today and take a step toward protecting your health.

Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is often called the “silent killer” because it usually has no symptoms — yet it can quietly damage your heart, brain, and kidneys over time. 💔

Blood pressure measures the force of blood pushing against your artery walls. When it stays consistently too high, it increases your risk of heart disease, stroke, and other serious health problems.

The good news? It’s manageable. Regular check-ups, a balanced diet, exercise, stress control, and taking prescribed medications can make a big difference. Schedule a follow-up visit with us at Park Primary Care to check your blood pressure today.

Take charge of your heart health this Heart Month 🤍

Cholesterol numbers — LDL, HDL, and triglycerides — each tell a part of your heart’s story. Most adults should check their cholesterol every few years, or more often if they have risk factors. If it’s been a while since your last test, this is your reminder to schedule a lipid panel!

Differentiating between a virus and a bacteria can be nearly impossible to do based on symptoms alone.

To help our providers identify the cause of your symptoms, our office now offers Spotfire PCR testing. This test is different from other rapid in-office testing in that it uses PCR technology to identify the DNA of the pathogen in your system. No cultures or specimen send outs are necessary because PCR technology provides the most sensitive, specific, and accurate in-office testing. This test allows our providers to customize the best treatment possible for you based on the specific pathogen causing your illness.

If you are experiencing sick symptoms, please don’t hesitate to come in! Our Walk-In Urgent Care is open Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Get your reliable answers, faster!
