My heart goes out to everyone affected by the events here in Evergreen.
As a former teacher, I understand the fear that comes with the possibility of a tragedy like the one that occurred at Evergreen High School earlier this week. Thankfully, I never had to face such an event firsthand, but I can only imagine how overwhelming and terrifying it must have been.
To the teachers, admin, staff, neighbors, first responders, parents, community members, and especially the students—thank you for being true heroes, for protecting and guiding each other through the unimaginable. You have all endured something that most of us will never fully understand.
Please take time to be with your loved ones, and don’t hesitate to reach out for support. You don’t have to go through this alone.
