Lesson Six: The Destiny of the Body
This lesson talks to us about the physical body and its relationship with the mental or mind and the soul. The physical body is home to the soul during our sojourns on earth. The mind directs the control of the body and builds it in the material world. What it becomes depends on what we do with our opportunities. We have one wave length, one light beam on which we come into this world and return to the Creator. That wave length belongs to us alone, and follows us through all our incarnations on earth. What we have made of opportunities in the past, our spiritual successes and the lessons we still need to learn, are incorporated into that wave length and manifested in the physical body. Death in the flesh is birth into another realm of experience, and what we experience there is conditioned by what we accomplished while in physical form. When we are ready to return to earth to complete our lessons, the cycle repeats, and continues until we have conquered all our lessons in the earth plane and are ready to move on to the next phase of our existence. While in the earth, we are called upon to use our bodies in service to others. We are to follow the example of the man Jesus, who became the Christ, and let the spirit of the Christ guide us in our thoughts and actions. It’s never too late to begin because life in the physical experience is a continuous effort. If we do our best, we don’t need to worry about results but rather leave the results to the Creator. He is always with us and stands every ready to assist us in our journey back to oneness.
