Contained within the 32 acres of the cemetery is a great deal of local history, period architecture, statuary, and art. As the cemetery developed and expanded over the years, many beautiful features were added such as scenic drives, fountains, planting of numerous trees, and the addition of mausoleums and above-ground crypts. Other impressive features include a dignified, non-sectarian chapel, a crematorium, and a columbarium for the interment of cremated remains. The Ewing Cemetery is one of approximately 400 "certificate of authority" cemeteries in the State of New Jersey that serve various faiths and denominations. Such cemeteries are neither municipally funded or religiously (church) owned and supported. The State of New Jersey monitors all certificate of authority cemeteries to meet some of the strongest standards for cemetery operation in the nation. The Ewing Cemetery offers in-ground burial in all ten sections of the cemetery. Lots can be purchased pre-need and, if purchased pre-need, can be paid for over time at zero interest. The size and location of the lot(s) purchased will determine what type and size of memorial that can be placed there. The Ewing Cemetery provides a wide array of cremation services which may include the use of the beautiful chapel for a committal service and interment in either a burial lot or one of a wide selection of niches, located indoors and outdoors.
