Announcement was made recently by the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors of Kentucky that David E. Abner of Flemingsburg had successfully completed the necessary apprenticeship requirements and successfully passed the state board examination and is now a Kentucky Licensed Funeral Director.

David is employed by the Michael R. Gray Funeral Homes with locations in Flemingsburg, Morehead, Owingsville and the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville.

Mike Gray, President of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Homes said “we are proud to celebrate David earning his Funeral Director’s License – a remarkable achievement that reflects his dedication, compassion, and professionalism. This accomplishment is the result of hard work, perseverance and a deep commitment to serving others during some of life’s most difficult moments. We know this journey was not easy, which makes this milestone all the more meaningful. Our entire staff is proud of him and knows that he will make a meaningful impact in the lives of others”.

David is the son of David Abner and Rita Abner both of Ewing. He resides in Flemingsburg at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home and divides his time between there and the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville.
