Urgent- hospice foster needed. Sweet boy Rigby who is FELV positive was adopted back in September. Sadly once this lovely cat found a home after just a few months his FELV kicked in and he is now nearing the end of his life. That said the wonderful team at Cats Only Vet Hospital & Mcsnip have him stabilized and he’s getting medication which can give him some weeks, possibly months of a good quality of life. Unfortunately his adopter does not feel equipped to take him home and care for him. We can certainly take him, but he will sadly need to be crated for the majority of his time left. We would be enormously grateful for an amazing person to step up and love him hard for the rest of his time here. Rigby is an amazing boy who suffered before he came to us. Life has not been fair to him. Help us help him for his last days to be bathed in sunlight, love and gentleness. Please call or text 732.850.0779 if you can be his hero! He requires nothing more than medication once a day. He loves friendly dogs too!

Please meet the gorgeous, resilient and sweet boy King! King is about 10 years old and spent most of his life as an indoor/outdoor but mostly outdoor cat and when he was indoors he was not treated very well by the person who was supposed to be caring for him. Thankfully a kind neighbor finally had enough and got him to safety. He was in bad shape and needed a full mouth extraction as he was in terrible pain for God only knows how long, he was emaciated and dehydrated so he definitely wasn’t being properly cared for even at a minimal level. That all said, King is the sweetest and most trusting angel boy. We’d love for him to find a quiet, calm and extremely loving home. He loves nothing more than tons of attention and snuggling in bed with someone that loves him! He is fine with other friendly cats too!

Because we are always asking for funding we decided to do weekly updates on cats YOUR donations have helped or are helping directly! Your donations don’t go to staffing, insurance, advertising or any of that other fancy stuff larger well funded organizations can afford. ALL donations go to cat care, which is usually 95 percent directly to vets. We can supply invoices on every single cat if requested. We are truly boots on the ground. So please meet baby Merry! At just 10 weeks old she had a positive FELV test. She was overall healthy and we were looking for that amazing home that would give her a family for however long her life may be and planned to retest in a few months. Sadly, almost four weeks ago we noticed her abdomen swelling and she was becoming lethargic. A trip to VEG in Princeton ($768 on the spot and up front) confirmed this already unlucky baby had FIP. Fortunately we were able to immediately start her on oral life saving and miraculous medication and she almost instantly improved…now this nugget is just thriving (she may kill me though lol) as her treatment is a full 84 days…all in with bloodwork, monitoring and medication will be close to $2500.00. BUT she is here and happy. So thank you to all that donate. If just every person who views our fundraiser can donate 10….we can easily meet or exceed our goal and continue to help cats and kittens like Merry. Rescue is a team sport!

Please help us continue our mission. As of now we are unable to take in any more cats unfortunately due to resource constraint. Until we catch up on vet bills a bit and get some cats into homes we are quite literally stuck. How can you help? Donate, share, adopt or foster. Please help us. We are a local community based rescue doing the hard work. We do not have paid staff and fancy fundraising but until now we’ve always been able to help. But we are completely full with cats and need to catch up on our vet bills. Tucker is the last cat we have been able to take on. He was a stray dumped at a vet last week. The vet called every local large shelter and rescues….nobody took him, so we did as the alternative for him was just to be killed. Of course this is all happening during the worst cold snap so our hearts are aching for the cats in need. There are so many.

2026 has been off to a slow start mostly due to the terrible weather. We lost a full weekend of potential adoptions at least due to the brutal cold and snow so we have lots of sweet cats just waiting to go home! Praying for a thaw and some warm hearts and homes to show up! That said some lucky kitties did find forever homes in January. First up our sweet older girl Uno who was adopted last year and returned has landed into the most excellent home with a new cat brother that she loves and who loves her! Also adopted both from Paterson, our beautiful mama Bluebell who was living with no shelter in a yard with her five babies…thankfully the last litter for this sweet angel. Cute but anxious Paisley was dumped outside the Paterson pound but has found patient and loving family to help her trust again. Adorable polydactyl Ferris who was rescued off the streets of Trenton right before the big snowstorm was quickly adopted. Charming and handsome Rocco found outside also found his family. And lastly cute kittens all found in the Paterson area, Tinsel & Chippy and Pepper & Jet all joined big loving families! We are so happy for this small group of cats and pray for a busier February…sadly we are unable to bring in any more cats until adoptions start up again. Please consider adopting or fostering so we can continue to help the many cats in need.

Update on Aurora! We are so happy that this cat who was really quite literally at deaths door less than two weeks ago is absolutely thriving right now…we are confident after much care she’s going to be just fine. She’s an awesome girl, takes it all in stride and super duper friendly…even takes her meds like a champ! She’ll be on strong antibiotics for another two weeks or so and will then be available for adoption. So while we are thrilled that she’s doing so well...we still owe VEG a balance of almost 3k. I’ve attached the receipts of what we paid on her bill so far…but we could really use so help to make up the short fall. This was a huge expense and even partnering with North Jersey Kitty Committee we still are very much in the negative. Please continue to share and donate…even 5, 10 or 25 adds up quickly and makes an impact. Thank you!!!

Deep Freeze Weekend Event! Please if you are looking to adopt or not looking but hey, we can all use an extra snuggle buddy right now…please visit us this weekend at the Princeton Petsmart. Adoptions are at a standstill with this weather and we simply cannot bring any more cats into our organization until some of the fully vetted, amazingly sweet & deserving cats are adopted. It’s a crisis! There are cats outside now and in other dire situations that we cannot help…please if you have room in your heart & home for a sweet cat we would be so grateful! We are there all weekend 12-6pm! Rain, snow or shine…we will be there for the cats. One good adoption weekend can make all the difference between not being able to help and saying yes…this is a collective effort. Our resources are completely maxed. Thank you!

Peanut, Pudgy & Cream Puff came to us as part of a group we pulled from AHS South a few months ago. These three shy but extremely sweet cats were to be killed because they were shy and needed a bit of TLC. They are so stinkin‘ cute and have had as far as we know not wonderful lives up until recently. They are about 4-5 years old, they have some likely congenital physical issues but are medically sound. While we know it isn’t very likely our miracle wish would be a home where all three could stay together, but at this stage we’d just love for them to have caring families and warm homes. They are currently down at the Princeton Petsmart and you can visit or text 732.850.0779 for more information.

We wanted to post something a bit more cheerful given our recent run of tragic events. So please enjoy these pictures of Lourdes enjoying her snowcation from Petsmart…thankfully we were able to get all the cats there into foster homes before the storm hit! Lourdes is very happy to be snuggling in a warm home vs. a steel crate! We hope this coming week brings her forever home! Stay safe everyone!

It’s with heavy hearts once again that we share bad news. Our beloved boy Fluffy, who we pulled for AHS South a few months ago sadly succumbed to the effects from FELV. He was up until recently an overall healthy guy, in spite of his status and had the good fortune to finally be adopted in a loving and amazing home….but unfortunately, like many FELV cats he developed a fast moving lymphoma in his chest and was suffering. This week, no this month has been hard on our little team and on our amazing adopters who take in the older, broken and sick cats…while we are once again heartbroken we know the cats in our care get everything humanly possible and love beyond measure. It’s all we can do. Rest easy sweet boy, you were very loved.
