Big boy Marty is ready for a loving home. This 17lb chonk was a tag along when we went to pull a cat two weeks ago at the Paterson Pound, he had just been surrendered and we couldn’t leave him behind so we took him too. This darling cat was so sad, upset, confused and traumatized for the first few days but is really starting to come around. He truly is a love bug and LOVES snacks! This approximately four year old cat enjoys gentle pets, window watching and playing hard with his wand toy. Imagine never having a home and family of your own…well sadly for Butter & Jelly at two years old they have never had the luxury of a true family. These extremely bonded (and who can blame them?) pair were brought in as kittens and have sadly bounced from foster to foster home never landing in a permanent situation. They are currently at the Princeton Petsmart hoping to finally be noticed and given the loving home and family they so deserve. All sweet Eleanor wants today is a mom or dad or both who won’t abandon her! This beautiful and loving cat has not been lucky and has had her share of unreliable people…it’s time for her to find her forever home once and for all! Eleanor is shy but very friendly and warms up quickly! She’s cat friendly too so would be fine in a home with another friendly cat! Eleanor is at the Princeton Petsmart and volunteers are there today from 1-5pm! Let’s make this Mother’s Day extra special for this deserving girl!

Update! We are beyond grateful that a wonderful foster has been found. We do have other cats in need…so please text if interested in fostering 732.850.0779. Emergency foster with experience needed! A few weeks ago we pulled 15yo Shadow from ACCT where he was scheduled to be killed over his untreated hyperthyroidism. Shadow came to us emaciated and he is arthritic (he is front declawed so sure that has contributed to his arthritis). Shadow is now being lovingly cared for and has already gained 1/2 a Ib and his pain is being managed...so he is feeling much, much better with a just bit of care and medical attention. Sadly his current foster can't keep him as she's scheduled to go away....so we are looking for a temporary or permanent place for this incredibly friendly guy to continue to improve! We provide all supplies, medical support, etc... can someone give this older boy a soft place...he takes his meds easily in food and is just a lovely, lovely boy. Meet Carmine & Ladybug! Both of these sweet kitties were up until very recently surviving on the mean streets of Kensington. Thankfully both Ladybug (14 weeks) & Carmine (1.5-2yr) were rescued by people who cared to intervene. These two extremely friendly cats are now at the Princeton Petsmart looking for loving, stable indoor home where they can live out their lives in safety and with unlimited love! ❤️ We are there Sat & Sun 1-6pm with lots and lots of cuties!

As of today, May 12 we continue to be on a complete hold. If you need to surrender a cat or help with strays please contact local animal control or check with other rescues. At this time we are unable to take on any more cats/kittens until our funds are replenished a bit and we have willing foster/adopters. We are way over capacity for now. We will respond to e-mail or inquiries once we are able. Update: Cat’s Amazing is currently on an intake pause. We cannot responsibly take on any more cats/kittens or debt until we are caught up. We currently owe our vet over $5k for emergencies and spay/neuter surgeries. We have over 25 nursing kittens and their mamas and all will need vetting. We will honor any commitments made to cats in our queue but we cannot for the near future take in any emergencies or general surrenders. We need adopters; fosters and donors. If you can offer assistance of any kind we are all ears. It pains us to turn away animals in need but we need to operate and be able to support properly the animals currently in our care. Thank you!

While we’ve had some very nice adoptions over the last week we wanted to highlight a particularly heart warming adoption that took place this weekend. April was surrendered into the Paterson Pound almost two months ago. Sadly she was there in her dismal crate for over six weeks before she came to our attention through our adoption partners Homeless Tails. Thanks to a wonderful community member who drove from Princeton to Paterson and then dropped her (and another tag along cat) to our vet in Pennington, she truly enjoyed a freedom ride. April spent a few days recovering in foster after her spay, came to the Princeton Petsmart yesterday and within an hour found her forever family. This poor little girl is literally the sweetest and so deserving….I am sure those weeks in the pound were especially stressful. We are beyond thrilled for her and her new loving family…she hasn’t missed a beat and is already enjoying laps and love! ❤️ (now the stowaway needs a home!…more to come on him!)

Adorable twosome Batman & Robin are waiting at the Princeton Petsmart for a loving family to take them home! These two year old siblings were surrendered when the person caring for them could no longer do so. While we’d love to see them adopted together they are lovely together they are not obviously or particularly bonded both seem very independent of each other, so could be adopted separately, our priority is finding them a stable and caring lifetime home. We are at the Princeton Petsmart Sunday from 1-6pm or you can text 732.850.0779 for more information.
