Dear Caregiver,
The people who approached Jesus most fervently in the Bible were caregivers, typically parents of children with an illness or disability. When we read of a parent imploring Jesus for help, it gives us hope that our desperation isn’t an anomaly. Throughout the ages, life as a caregiver has been challenging; watching the ones you love suffer makes the heart ache. Yet — both then and now — Jesus does not scorn or ridicule those who approach him in need. Instead, the pattern of his heart is to listen and to help.
