As we are starting the first week of a New Year, let's remember to be kind and listen to our bodies.

Self-care isn't Selfish, it's Essential.

Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.

Stop lights were invented in 1868 and the very first one was in London. Guys it used gas lamps and semaphore arms for horse-drawn carriages.
So cool!

Modern ones are different and turns out railways get credit for modernizing and color choices

Welcome the New Year Gently!

A fresh year doesn’t require a complete overhaul.
Sometimes the best reset is slowing down, listening to your body, and choosing care over criticism.

This year, we’re focusing on gentle progress, not perfection. 💛

✨ What’s one small way you’re being kinder to yourself this year?

If the New Year feels overwhelming, you’re not behind—you’re human.

You don’t have to fix everything in January.
You don’t have to rush the healing process.
You don’t have to do it all at once.

Grace looks good on you this year. ✨

All About Dr. Katie

Dr. Katie is a life long resident of Excelsior Spring. She is an alumni of the Excelsior Springs High School Class of 2012. While in high school she participated in cross country, soccer and was on the Tigerette dance team. She knew at a young age that she wanted to be a Chiropractor, so she enrolled in the EMT program at the Excelsior Springs Career Center during her Junior year. This was a good introduction into the medical field. After high school she became a Pirate and attended Park University as a Student Athlete. While attending Park she played women’s soccer and graduated with honors with a Bachelor Of Science degree focusing on Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. Dr. Katie is very family oriented and wanted to stay close to her family so she chose Cleveland School of Chiropractic Medicine located in Overland Park, Kansas. She obtained her degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine in April 2020.

Dr. Katie married her husband Kurtis Willimetz in 2018 and they have a son Kessler who was born in May of this year. Kurtis is also a life long resident of Excelsior Springs and employed as a Paramedic/Firefighter for the City of Excelsior Springs. Dr. Katie is a member of Vibbard Christian Union Church and enjoys all things outdoors! During her downtime she enjoys traveling, both for pleasure as well as mission work, and playing soccer and softball on adult teams now rather than playing competitively. Katie and her husband Kurtis love living in Excelsior Springs and look forward to raising their children in a small town atmosphere so they can experience the same type of childhood as they did.
