Spring Running Ramp-up / Avoiding the Classic Injuries
Ahhh, spring! The days are longer, the sun is shining, and you’re finally lacing up your running shoes again after a long winter of... well, let’s just call it “hibernation.”
Whether you’re training for a race or just eager to get back into the groove and enjoy the breeze in your hair - this is when many runners ramp up mileage. And also when a whole bunch of annoying injuries start creeping in.

As the weather gets a little cooler out we are thrilled to be hosting a guided Sauna and Cold Plunge Session once a month throughout the winter with our friends at SISU Fitness and Nutrition.
Our goal has always been not to be just another Chiropractic Clinic but rather to be a part of the community and empowering those around us to feel and move their best!

Welcome Dr. Mallory to the Minnesota Movement Team! / .mallorychristopherson
Dr. Mallory comes from an extensive Sports Chiropractic background with over 8 years in practice in the Twin Cities area. In 2015 she was selected as a Medical Staff member alongside Dr. Reid for the CSIT World Sports Games in Lignano, Italy.
Dr. Mallory’s approach to treatment fits in well here at Minnesota Movement. She is more than just a traditional chiropractor in the sense that she tailors treatment and rehab programming to each patient’s individual needs and limitations. Treatment will vary from patient to patient and may include spinal and extremity adjustments, soft tissue techniques (ie graston, taping, flossing, myofascial release,cupping), and functional rehabilitative exercises.
Dr. Mallory’s schedule is open now! She will start seeing patients here at the clinic in November but visit our website to learn more about her background and book a session.
“My husband, Seth, and I are endurance athletes training in cycling and running. We have both participated in events in gravel and road cycling (Grand Du Nord, MS 150, Dairy Roubaix) as well as trail ultramarathons throughout the Midwest (Superior 50K, Superior 50 mile, Wild Duluth 50k, North Face Endurance 50k, Afton 25k). With my background in running and cycling I would be happy to help you develop training plans to achieve your endurance sports goals! We enjoy anything that gets us outside whether it be running, cycling, bike packing, cross country skiing, or dog walking. We both participate in recreational volleyball leagues and tournaments in the area as well. I enjoy coaching volleyball and training volleyball athletes. We have two dogs, Bert and Miles, and one dog, Lou who will forever be in our hearts as the Best Bud.”

Golfers have a widely known knack for always tinkering with their swing mechanics. Basketball players are relentlessly perfecting their shooting form. Soccer athletes practice their touch for hours and hours a week. The list could go on and on.
But all these athletes have a coach. Most recreational runners don’t. Which brings us to the question “How do we even know what to focus on?!”

Here we take a look at your strengths and limitations with your gait cycle via:
- two dimensional view of treadmill gait analysis
- pedograph (where you place pressure in your stride)
