Each year, one of our amazing residents donates box after box of Girl Scout cookies—and we turn it into one of our favorite events: Cookie Bingo! 🍪🎉

Everyone goes home a winner (with at least one box of cookies!), and together we raise money for a great cause. This year, we raised $188 for Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans ❤️

Happy 99th Birthday, Bob! 🎉 Wow—what an incredible milestone!

It was such a joy to celebrate with family from near and far, along with residents and staff. The afternoon was filled with all of Bob’s favorite things—beautiful music by the talented violinist Liya, delicious carrot cake, and refreshing Arnold Palmer beverages. And over 99 birthday cards!

Here’s to an amazing year ahead… we can’t wait to celebrate your 100th! 🥳

For this month’s Chef’s Demo, we virtually traveled to Italy in honor of the Olympics! 🇮🇹

Chef Matt introduced us to something many of us had never heard of before — Gnudi! This traditional Italian dish takes a day or two to prepare. It’s essentially the delicious ricotta filling of ravioli, gently buried in flour. As it rests, the flour forms a delicate coating, and then it’s boiled to perfection.

Fun fact: Gnudi means “naked” in Italian because it isn’t wrapped in pasta!

It was so much fun to watch the process — and even better to taste. Delizioso! 🍽️✨

We had another fantastic history talk yesterday with John Grabko — and as always, he had everyone completely engaged. This time, he brought history to life with a presentation on Abraham Lincoln.

Our residents truly look forward to his visits, and he never disappoints. Already looking forward to next month!

Isn’t it fun to receive a card in the mail?! 💕 We’ve been anxiously checking the mailbox every day, waiting for Valentine’s cheer!

Our community joined the Hearts Across America trend, where senior living communities are exchanging Valentine’s cards to foster connection and share messages of love and friendship. And then we thought… why stop with the US? 🌍💖 So we expanded ours to Hearts Across the World!

So far, we’ve received over 85 Valentines and sent cards in return. Most cards are from senior living communities, but we’ve also been delighted to receive cards from friends and relatives of our residents. They’ve arrived from across the U.S. and as far away as Canada, Scotland, Sweden, Africa, Hong Kong, and Australia!

Our Petals neighborhood created some beautiful handmade cards, and many of our residents wrote heartfelt messages—often sharing fun facts about themselves or our town.

This exchange has truly filled our days with joy, connection, and lots of love. 💌✨
