Today, we pause to honor Juneteenth — a day of reflection and celebration. On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom. This day marks a pivotal moment in our nation’s history and continues to inspire progress toward equity and inclusion.
At RiverWoods, we believe that the community grows stronger when we recognize and celebrate the diverse histories that shape our collective experience. In that spirit, we also take this opportunity to support local Black-owned businesses near our communities, whose creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurship enrich the Seacoast and Southern New Hampshire region.
