Choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming — especially when you start hearing about all the different “types” of therapy and aren’t sure where to begin. 😵‍💫

The truth is, there isn’t one right approach for everyone. Different nervous systems, life experiences, goals, and personalities benefit from different kinds of support.

What matters most is finding a style of therapy that feels safe, supportive, and aligned with what you’re working through.

Our therapists offer a wide range of holistic and evidence-based approaches — from body-based therapies and trauma treatment to couples work and mindfulness-based care. We believe healing happens best when mind, body, and nervous system are all part of the conversation.

If you’re feeling curious about therapy, returning after a break, or unsure what might be the best fit, we’d love to help you explore your options.

We currently have openings for in-person and virtual therapy, including evening appointments and some insurance plans accepted.

If 2026 already feels overwhelming… you’re not alone.

The new year comes with a lot of noise — goals, resets, routines, expectations — and for many people (especially those with ADHD or sensitive nervous systems), that “fresh start” energy can quickly turn into pressure, overload, and burnout.

If this month feels heavier than hopeful, a few gentle reminders:
✨ You don’t have to overhaul your life in 30 days
✨ Progress doesn’t have to be linear or visible
✨ Starting slow is still starting
✨ Rest is productive, especially for your nervous system

Instead of trying to become a whole new version of yourself, focus on creating a year that feels more supportive, sustainable, and kind.

Sometimes healing begins not with more insight, but with coming back into the body.

Tina’s work as a Certified Integrative Yoga Therapist centers on using breath, mindful movement, and awareness to support emotional balance and nervous system resilience. Her approach offers a gentle entry point for people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, or chronic stress—especially when words alone don’t feel sufficient.

Through thoughtfully designed individual and small-group practices, Tina helps clients cultivate steadiness, self-awareness, and a deeper sense of equanimity—meeting themselves with curiosity rather than pressure.

If you’re curious about yoga therapy as a supportive, accessible complement to your mental health care, we’d love to help you explore whether working with Tina could be a fit. 🧘🏽‍♀️

Healing doesn’t mean fixing what’s broken—it means learning how to listen differently.

Erika’s work sits at the intersection of somatics and mental health, supporting people who feel stuck in their heads, disconnected from their bodies, or caught in cycles of overwhelm and self-doubt.

Through gentle, accessible yoga therapy practices, she helps clients rebuild trust with their nervous systems and reconnect with their innate wisdom.

This work is especially supportive if talk therapy hasn’t felt like enough, or if you’re craving a more embodied path toward regulation, clarity, and self-trust.

If you’re curious about working with Erika or learning more about yoga therapy for mental and emotional health, we’d love to support you. 💛

We’re grateful for the opportunity to join The Alchemical Path podcast and reflect on embodied healing, somatic work, and why mind–body integration matters in therapy.

Thank you Elizabeth for the thoughtful conversation and for creating a space that holds depth, curiosity, and embodied wisdom ✨

✨ New Episode of The Alchemical Path ✨

In this episode, host Elizabeth Mann welcomes Kanjana Hartshorn, a certified yoga therapist, Reiki Master, and holistic clinician whose work bridges traditional therapy and embodied healing.

Kanjana shares her personal and professional journey from primarily cognitive approaches to deeply somatic, body-based work. Together, we explore how yoga therapy can be integrated with traditional mental health counseling—and why true healing often requires addressing both the mind and the body.

This conversation also clarifies an important distinction many people don’t realize: the difference between yoga teachers and yoga therapists, including the extensive clinical training, specialization, and individualized practices involved in yoga therapy for mental and physical health conditions.

Kanjana Hartshorn, LCSW, C-IAYT, Reiki Master, CCFP (she/her) is the founder of Healing Hearts Wellness, a holistic therapy practice blending:
✨ Traditional mental health counseling
✨ Somatic & yoga therapy
✨ Reiki & energy work
✨ Expressive arts & dance/movement therapy
✨ Ecotherapy & therapeutic writing
✨ Spiritual and relational healing practices

Her work is heart-led, trauma-informed, body-based, and deeply relational—supporting people in all bodies to reconnect with themselves, rediscover compassion, and heal across multiple dimensions.

🌿 Also mentioned in this episode:
• Wanderhome — retreats, experiential CE trainings, and community for therapists and healthcare/wellness professionals (website launching mid-January): wanderhomeretreats.com
• Kanjana’s self-study courses for professionals (currently hosted on Healing Hearts Wellness and migrating to Wanderhome mid-January): https://healingheartswellness.com/professionals/

• The Body Compassion Project Retreat happening May 2026: https://healingheartswellness.com/the-body-compassion-project-2026-retreat/

• A somatic therapy summit this May in Palm Springs where Kanjana will be speaking: https://uun6szabdeo.krtra.com/t/hSX2HEicB69c

🎧 This episode is a powerful invitation into embodied healing, professional growth, and remembering the wisdom of the body.

“Just calm down.”

For so many mothers, that phrase doesn't help — it harms.

Regulation advice often backfires because it skips right past the real causes of maternal rage.

You can’t breathe your way out of chronic sleep deprivation. You can’t regulate your nervous system out of impossible cognitive load. You can’t self-soothe your way into adequate social support.

When we tell moms to just regulate without addressing the conditions they’re living in, we quietly place the blame back on them — instead of on the systems, expectations, and lack of support that are fueling the overwhelm.

Maternal rage isn’t a failure of emotional control. It’s often a signal that something is deeply unsustainable.

This is exactly what mom rage expert Nicole McNelis and somatic therapy specialist Kanjana Hartshorne we’ll be unpacking in Reclaiming Rage — moving beyond surface-level coping and into compassionate, embodied, realistic support for mothers and the people who care for them.

🗓 January 23
🕘 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 King of Prussia Doulas Family Wellness Center

When mothers say “this feels impossible,” we need to pause and say: yes — because it is.

So many mothers carry this quietly: the rage that comes from impossible expectations, relentless demands, and systems that were never built to support caregiving bodies.

Rage isn’t a personal failure or something to fight against — it’s often an accurate, embodied response to what isn’t working.

Instead of asking, “How do I make this go away?” we start asking:

What’s being asked of me that isn’t sustainable?
What support is missing?
What needs repair — personally and systemically?

This is the heart of Reclaiming Rage — learning how to work with anger rather than silencing it, and finding grounded, compassionate ways to support mothers navigating the impossible.

🗓 January 23
🕘 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 King of Prussia Doulas Family Wellness Center

Led by mom rage expert Nicole McNelis and somatic therapy specialist Kanjana Hartshorne, this experiential workshop blends conversation, nervous-system support, and embodied practices to help transform rage into clarity, advocacy, and care.

If this clip resonates, we’d love to have you in the room. 💛
