There’s nothing wrong with bubble baths, journaling, or your favorite cozy rituals — but if those don’t land, or if you’re craving new ways to care for yourself throughout the week, here are a few ideas to try:

🚫 Set a “nothing appointment”
Block off time to let your nervous system reset without guilt.

🧠 Give your mind a sensory break
Turn off music, podcasts, or background noise for a few minutes.

💤 Ask your body what kind of rest it needs
There’s more than one kind — physical, emotional, creative, social, or mental.

✅ Name what’s “enough” for today
Before bed or at the end of work, say out loud: “This was enough for today.”

☕️ Romanticize something mundane
Sip your coffee slowly. Light a candle before opening your laptop. Make it a ritual.

⏸️ Add micro-pauses throughout your day

So many people grow up internalizing the idea that they’re lazy, dramatic, disorganized, or “too much.”

In reality, their ADHD or autism was simply overlooked.

Why does this happen?

Because symptoms don’t always match the outdated stereotype. They can be quieter, more internalized, or dismissed as “just anxiety,” “just depression,” or “just mom brain.”

For many women and people of color, the signs are missed for years—or even a lifetime. And too often, when people do ask for help, they aren’t believed.

Did you know pairing a power pose with a mantra can create a more embodied experience in therapy—or in your everyday life?

Here’s how it works:
💪 A power pose (like standing tall with your feet grounded and hands on your hips or raised overhead) sends signals of confidence and strength to your nervous system.

💬 A mantra is a simple, intentional phrase—like “I am grounded” or “I am enough.” On its own, a mantra can sometimes feel like “just words.”

But when you couple the two together, something shifts. Your body posture reinforces the mantra, helping your nervous system feel it instead of just saying it. Even if it’s only for a moment, you create the lived experience of your mantra being true.

Over time, this practice can rewire how you relate to yourself—building resilience, calm, and confidence.

Rage isn’t just about “losing control.” It’s often the body’s way of saying: I can’t keep carrying this alone. 😖

If you’ve witnessed someone you love move through maternal rage, you know how painful and isolating it can feel—not just for them, but for those around them. Too often, rage gets dismissed as “bad behavior” instead of recognized as a signal of unmet needs, violated expectations, or sheer overwhelm.

When we shift our perspective, rage becomes less about shame and more about an invitation: What support is missing here? How can we respond with compassion rather than judgment?

That’s the heart of Reclaiming Rage: A Yoga Therapy + Maternal Mental Health Event. Together, we’ll explore evidence-based tools, embodied practices, and compassionate approaches to support both ourselves and those we care for.
