Neck Pain and Proprioception.

Proprioception is the body's ability to sense where its various parts are in relation to one another for purposes of movement and balance. For patients with neck pain resulting from osteoarthritis of the cervical spine, a recent study found that addressing proprioception deficits as part of an overall treatment approach led to better outcomes with respect to function, pain, and overall range of motion. Doctors of chiropractic are well-versed in the use of hands-on care and specific exercise recommendations to improve proprioception.
