Once again, a company is trying to market cow's milk as human milk. HMO (human milk oligosaccharides) marketed in formula and now in adult supplements, are not made from human milk. These companies are taking cow's milk and altering the milk and saying the product has "human milk oligosaccharides (not made from human milk)", but they market these products making you believe its from human milk and some people actually think these products ARE human milk. The formula package usually states "not made from human milk" in very small print. I'm seeing an adult prebiotic being marketed as a "breast milk" product. and its not. Everyone says they love breastmilk, but no one wants to help you actually be able to provide breastmilk to your baby. don't get me started on bovine colostrum products marketing to breastfeeding people. I get REALLY annoyed at the deception.

the stage is set for a newborn fascial therapy session today. Sometimes babies can get crabby during these sessions so I’ll help keep baby calm. the room is dark and light shows can be magical. calming music. I have some egg shakers too - i love those to help with tracking. I’ll roll with the baby today. The upstairs treatment room is fully set up with a bathroom, changing station, scale for weight checks, and comfy chair for feeding if mom also ends up feeding baby during visit.

I’m co-hosting a prenatal meetup next Saturday October 18th at my office in Exton with We’ll be discussing birth prep and I’ll chat about newborn-infant feeding. my approach is usually more of a Q&A about breastfeeding/ feeding and I’ll discuss any topic! If silverettes worked for you, great! If you have been using them for over a week and are not healing and have latch pain, pain with pumping, or are generally uncomfortable all day, the silverettes may actually be the issue. Once we break the silverette cycle, healing can begin and all your other symptoms may just go away. You may not have a latch issue, or a pumping issue. If anyone is using them during my consultation, my care plan will be to rule this out. Break the cycle, heal up, then determine if the latch still hurts or pumping still hurts. Stopping the silverettes in my experience solves a lot of problems. Sometimes all the problems. If you’re in a cycle - hopefully this helps!

amazing pregnancy massage! mom was in a LOT of pain - after being on my table for an hour, could not believe how good she felt. next day, still feeling great!

and let me add…. it’s weird having a guy’s name show up on my appointment schedule! for 15 years i have not had a guy’s name on my schedule! so yes I’m working with the whole family when it comes to massage and cft (fascial therapy). we got some good work done today.

it’s officially officially official… i still can’t believe i did this and still can’t believe it’s finally complete!!! such a good feeling!!! I started the massage therapy program a year ago… what a year! it was super challenging on a physical, emotional, and academic level. i have updated my website with new massage therapy and bodywork services for the whole family. while my intention originated from helping babies with latch and feeding, my training is more broad so I’m offering full family services. my new office has a massage treatment room on the second floor. reach out with any questions. i’m revamping my online presence but www.danathelc.com has current services. don’t be alarmed by the lactation part!

on a personal note… thanks Jen for stopping by to do some canine nail clipping!
