Ageless Adventures Assisted Living Week continues with Adventures in our thirties. A very sweet video conference call this morning with a local preschool started us off with lots of smiles as we got to chat with 4-year-olds. They asked us wonderful, sweet and intriguing questions. The Seeing Eye Dog Bergen County Chapter shared their beautiful puppies with us in the afternoon and Showed us how they train their unique puppies. What a wonderful day to relive young children and animals in our lives as we remembered raising our families. The end of the evening? Who doesn't remember buying their first house? Just ask Tom Hanks and all the problems that go along with his movie "The Money Pit". , , and

Day 2 of National Assisted Living Week 2025!

This year’s theme is Ageless Adventures, a beautiful reminder that adventure has no age limit!

Today’s adventure took us down memory lane with a celebration of classic cars! Just like these timeless beauties, our residents remind us that style, strength, and stories only grow richer with time.

From chrome details to polished memories, the joy on everyone’s faces proved that adventure can be found in both the roads we’ve traveled and the ones still ahead.

Part of our trip took us around the world, through Poland, Greece, the Caribbean, Italy and France as we sampled all of the delicious foods!

Day 2 of National Assisted Living Week 2025!

This year’s theme is Ageless Adventures, a beautiful reminder that adventure has no age limit!

Today’s adventure took us down memory lane with a celebration of classic cars! Just like these timeless beauties, our residents remind us that style, strength, and stories only grow richer with time.

From chrome details to polished memories, the joy on everyone’s faces proved that adventure can be found in both the roads we’ve traveled and the ones still ahead.

National Assisted Living week begins with Grandparents Day. The Chelsea at Fairlawn started ageless Adventures with our Childhood opening on grandparents Day. We had fun starting the day with musical cups, candy prizes and a lunch barbecue outside with family, friends and entertainment with Julian Hernandez. Then what could be more fun than ageless adventures, then reminiscing about our childhood with face painting, carnival games and prizes, a visit from our furry ferret friends thanks to Ms. Gabriella & snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy rounding out our day. We even had a tricky tray to help raise money for our Alzheimer walk on Sunday. Our night ended with of course The Greatest Showman in the movie theater. What a great way to spend our day & a great way to go back to our childhood!!

Today, The Chelsea at Fair Lawn kicked off Ageless Adventures Assisted Living Week with Grandparents Day with childhood adventures. What a better way to start your childhood with a day at the carnival, a barbecue outside with family and friends complete with carnival games, face painting, entertainment by Julian Hernandez, and a visit from our furry ferret friends with Ms. Gabriella? We also had a Tricky Tray with all donations going to our Alzheimer's Walk where all directors are walking on Sunday Sept. 14th. Later in the day we enjoyed cotton candy, snow cones, and popcorn. The day ended with the movie of course, The Greatest Showman in our theater. Everyone had a wonderful day going back to our childhood and reliving our memories and adventures.

Our Country Cottage residents are thriving on their bus rides; this Friday's trip to Garrett Mountain reserves was a highlight, as we pulled over and watched a young lady having a riding lesson, which opened up many conversations among each other. Then we headed to Tuskin bakery for some baked goods to bring back to everyone else who didn’t join the trip😊
