On September 25th all 50 states are participating in the first fully national day or free naloxone (Narcan). The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources is participating as a county organizer and has been working with several towns, health departments and Bergen County colleges and universities to coordinate a day of free narcan in the community as well as the launch of the Buster Boxes!

If you came to Busterstock this year you heard about the upcoming launch of Buster Boxes across several different locations in Bergen County. Today we had the honor of unveiling the River Edge Buster Box at the public library.

Buster Boxes will be placed in key public locations to ensure free access to Narcan - A life saving medication made to reverse an opioid overdose. Slide through to see where Buster Boxes will be launching next week on September 25th, Save a Life Day 💜

Today we stopped by the Bergen County Public Safety Operations Center (PSOC) to thank them for all of the amazing work that they do as part of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!

PSOC is responsible for reaching out to our 24/7 addiction support hotline after law enforcement provides Narcan for an opioid overdose. With this information given, our team responds to all 6 hospitals in Bergen County to provide recovery support to the individual that has been reversed with Narcan.
