Yes—even our staff’s pets come to LACH 🐶
Trusted care, from our team to yours 🤍

Minnie, a 13-year-old patient, came in for evaluation of sneezing and eye irritation 🐾

Clinical signs suggested possible allergies, so here at LACH, we performed bloodwork including a Total Body Function panel and proBNP to assess her overall health.
She was treated with Depo-Medrol and Naxcel injections to help reduce inflammation and address potential infection, and was sent home with Cephalexin for continued care.

Our goal is to keep Minnie comfortable while identifying and managing the underlying cause of her symptoms 🤍✨

Bella came in as a new client for her vaccine visit 🐾

During her appointment, she received booster doses of core and lifestyle vaccines, including Distemper/Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and Lyme. As part of her preventive care, a f***l sample was also collected to test for intestinal parasites.

Bella will return in three weeks to continue her vaccine series and stay on track with her immunization schedule. She was also started on monthly heartworm prevention to protect against mosquito-borne disease.

Preventive care plays a key role in keeping our patients healthy and protected year-round 🤍

Sprout came in with multiple masses 🐾

Cytology and pathology results suggested a mast cell tumor. Here at LACH, Dr. Hall discussed with his owners that the best course of action would be surgical removal, followed by histopathology and sampling of local lymph nodes to check for metastasis.

An additional third mass was also found on the left thoracic wall—bringing the total to three masses, all of which were successfully removed.

Sprout recovered well from anesthesia and is already showing great signs as he continues on his path to a full recovery 🤍

He’ll be visiting us for courtesy rechecks as we monitor his healing every step of the way ✨

Tula 🐾

This 1.5-year-old rescue came in today for her vaccines and left with a full wellness update 💛

Today’s visit included:
✔️ Vaccines
✔️ Heartworm prevention
✔️ Bravecto (flea & tick protection—one tablet every 3 months)
✔️ F***l testing to keep everything in check

Tula also has a neurological skull deformity, but she handled her visit like a champ 🫶

Preventative care = a healthier, happier life ✨

Giardia isn’t just a “dirty dog” problem. We see dogs pick it up from puddles, lakes, shared water bowls, or even damp surfaces at parks. 💧
Because the parasite survives well in the environment, reinfection can happen easily without prevention and good hygiene. Avoid letting dogs drink from standing water and talk with your veterinarian if diarrhea shows up repeatedly. 🐾💦🦠

Lucy was successfully convinced to get her vaccines… with the help of cheese 🧀🐾

Sometimes a little distraction goes a long way! While Lucy was focused on her favorite snack, our team was able to safely update her vaccines and administer her Convenia injection — a long-acting antibiotic that helps treat bacterial infections without the need for daily medication. 🩺

Less stress for Lucy, less hassle for her owner, and a smooth visit all around. ❤️

Moral of the story: cheese makes everything better 🐶🧀✨

Patient update: Kai has officially become the entertainment of the waiting room 🌊🐾

While waiting for his vaccine update, Kai decided to show off a few tricks — and yes, he had an audience 👀🐶
Fun fact: his name means “ocean”… and he definitely brought the waves of energy today 🌊✨

Ever had a pet with fleas… and now you feel like you have them too? 👀🐾

Welcome to phantom fleas.

After dealing with a flea issue, it’s completely normal to feel like you’re still being bitten or see things that aren’t there. The itching, the checking, the paranoia… it lingers 😅

Even when your pet is treated and the fleas are gone, your brain isn’t always convinced.

Don’t worry — you’re not alone, and you’re not crazy.
Sometimes it’s just your mind playing tricks after the stress of dealing with fleas. 🫠

What after surgery day can look like:

Dogs: often anxious but more easily comforted by voices, pets, and reassurance ✨

Cats: more sensitive to new environments and may feel more stressed or withdrawn ✨

Our team adjusts care for each pet — keeping them calm, safe, and closely monitored from start to finish. 🩺❤️
