First case of measles reported in Connecticut within the last 4 years. Two cases of measles seen at The Valley Hospital within the last 4-6 months. Please make sure your child receives the MMR vaccine at one and four. If traveling internationally or to an area of high risk, we can give the MMR vaccine early. The MMR vaccine can be given as early as 6 months! Please call our office with questions.

Connecticut has its first measles case in more than four years after an unvaccinated child under 10 in Fairfield County contracted the virus following international travel.
