My Granddaughter MaKayla, wrote the following letter to Capri College…..❤️🥰

MaKayla McDaniel

I decided I wanted to be an esthetician around the age of eight. I went to California for the first time to visit my grandmother, and she showed me her beauty salon and would show me how to take care of my skin. I instantly knew that one day I would love to work in the beauty industry and help people love the skin they're in. It's always been a dream of mine to own my own business and to open a salon and have my grandmother working with me. Even though she lives in California my grandma was always there for me and supported me through all times that were good and bad. She is one of the most intelligent and caring people in the world. My grandma inspired me everyday to be the greatest person I could be, as well as to always treat people with respect and most importantly to follow my dreams! My grandma showed me many things throughout the 17 years of my childhood and leadership was a big one. I will contribute that leadership at Capri College and my future career by always supporting others in their work and helping people as they need it. Some of the ways I'll help people are through the challenging times no matter the circumstances. I know along the way people will have their own troubles whether it's personal issues outside of school or issues that revolve around the learning path at Capri and it's important to always have someone along the way of you pursuing your dreams. Some of the ways I showed leadership is by volunteering my time to feed the homeless and I organized the sequence of making the sandwiches. I've also helped a small business owner by volunteering my time to advertise and show people throughout the community of different things his business had to offer. Volunteering is a great way to show support for your community. I would be honored and blessed to receive this scholarship to help me achieve my dream career!
