What a fun night we had honoring our amazing staff Saturday night. The Senior Care Solutions holiday parties are not complete without games, gift exchange, and lots of laughter! Thank you team! 💙 Understanding Anticipatory, Living, and Ambiguous Grief

Grief doesn’t always begin after a loss. For many caregivers and families, it starts long before — as they watch someone they love change due to illness, memory loss, or aging.

This is often called Anticipatory Grief, or as we heard beautifully described in a recent webinar — Living Grief or Ambiguous Loss/Grief.

It’s the quiet ache of missing someone who is still here, the emotional toll of watching the person you knew fade in ways that are hard to define or explain. You may feel sadness, guilt, confusion, or even relief — all of which are normal and valid.

💬 Remember:
You don’t have to wait for a final loss to seek support. Talking with others who understand, finding respite, or connecting with a support group can bring comfort and healing.
