Did you know that protein plays a key role in how you process emotions & regulate your central nervous system? Your brain relies on amino acids from protein to produce neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine—chemicals that help regulate mood, reduce stress, and support emotional balance.

When you nourish your body with quality protein, you’re also nourishing your mind, making it easier to navigate emotions with clarity and calmness.

✨ Try this simple protein packed recipe for lunch to fuel your body, support your mind, and embrace emotional well-being. ⬇️✨

High-Protein Salad with Warm Lentils & Chicken 🥗✨

Ingredients:
• 2 cans (14-15 oz each) brown lentils, drained and rinsed
• 4 tbsp olive oil, divided
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
• 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
• 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
• 1/4 cup shallots, diced
• 1.5 cups cooked chicken, chopped (breast, thigh, or shredded rotisserie)
• Juice of half a lemon
• 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
• 2 garlic cloves, pressed

Optional Toppings:
🥑 Diced avocado
🧀 Crumbled goat cheese

Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Dressing: In a large bowl, whisk together lemon juice, 3 tbsp olive oil, red wine vinegar, and pressed garlic.
2️⃣ Combine Fresh Ingredients: Add chicken, parsley, mint, green onions, and shallots. Toss well and setaside.
3️⃣ Warm the Lentils: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add lentils, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 4-5 minutes.

When your body needs attention in one way or another it will communicate very subtly at first and then begin getting louder and louder when we aren’t tuned in enough to our body to give it what it needs.

Rest is a huge and very important component of a balanced and healthy central nervous system. Rest allows your body time to heal, clears your mind for better cognitive function, and calms the nervous system.

Here are 5 Signs Your Body is Asking for Rest ⬇️

1️⃣ Persistent Fatigue – If you’re feeling tired even after a full night’s sleep, your body might be asking for deeper restoration. Sometimes, rest isn’t just about sleep—it’s about slowing down and allowing yourself to breathe.

2️⃣ Muscle Tension & Aches – Soreness and tightness can be signs of overuse or stress. A massage can help release tension, improve circulation, and give your body the reset it needs.

Mondays can be stressful BUT they don’t have to be!

I want to invite you to a pause for just one moment and tune into your body.

Find a comfortable place to sit while you tune into your body.

Take a deep breath all the way in through your nose and exhale deeply out your mouth imagine all of the days stress melt away. Now notice where in your body are you holding tension or stress…

Maybe your jaw is clenched or your shoulders up and tense. Take this moment to take another deep breath in and as you do relax your shoulders and unclench your jaw.

Try this simple breathing technique to start your days with for a more grounded morning or to end your evening with to relax and ground back into your body in peace feeling balanced after a long day ⬇️

✨ Find Your Calm with the 6-7-8 Breath ✨

Inhale. Hold. Exhale. Let it go.

The 6-7-8 breathing technique is a simple yet powerful way to calm the mind, relax the body, and reset your energy. Rooted in mindfulness and holistic wellness, this practice helps reduce stress, improve sleep, and bring you back to the present moment.

Here’s how to do it:
🌿 Inhale through your nose for 6 seconds
🌿 Hold your breath for 7 seconds
🌿 Exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds

Repeat this cycle four times and feel the tension melt away. With each breath, invite in peace. With each exhale, release what no longer serves you.
