A few added details to Lakeside Holistics! I absolutely love this space and I am beyond appreciative for this opportunity to serve this community. School will be starting for staff on Monday, July 28th and I will be teaching for at least this year. Scheduling will be difficult but I will do my best to accommodate my clients while balancing family life and work. I never dreamed that when I opened Lakeside Holistics that I would be so busy and fulfilled! Thank you!

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is April Burgess and I am the owner of Lakeside Holistics, LLC. I have been a nurse for over 25 years with experience in L&D/OB, Emergency Department and for the last four years I have taught at Hamilton Career and Technology Center in the Health Science division. I absolutely love my job and my students but I really miss patient care. I began to explore ways to intertwine patient care into my career without having to go back to the hospital full time and began to dive into holistic care. The body has proven itself able to heal when given the time and correct modalities. I obtained my HNBBC (Holistic Nurse Bachelorette Board Certification) and MLD certification (Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage) from ILWTI and opened Lakeside Holistics, LLC. Thank you to those that have already supported my work and I look forward to meeting the rest of you!

My client and I had previously discussed our stressors and how stress manifests in our body and I mentioned how mine is either in my gut or neck and shoulders. Today she brought me this beautiful neck wrap that is made of flax seed and scented with peppermint. 2 1/2 mins in the microwave and I was feeling its very therapeutic effects! Thank you so much for making sure I am taking care of myself while caring for others! Be a blessing to someone today! It’s therapeutic!

I would love to share with you what is happening at Lakeside Holistics, LLC! I am scheduling MLD sessions (Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage, Optimum Foot Detox (single session or packages), EcoFin (a heated paraffin wax alternative without the wax waste-especially good for arthritic hands and feet) and working to offer other modalities soon!
