Not every thought is true, no matter how convincing it feels in the moment.

In motherhood, our minds can be loud.
Loud with fears.
Loud with guilt.
Loud with worst-case scenarios.

This a good reminder! When we are activated by an event or situation, we have automatic thoughts and feelings. Without a pause, this leads to an automatic reaction from our body - and that is not always the reaction we want to happen! You can work on creating space between what activates (triggers) you and how you respond by building in grounding skills.

When working with kiddos, I like to use the “Stop! Thiiiiink… Go!” method. When adults build and demonstrate these skills - we are modeling for the kiddos around us!
